New Patient Experience

There are three ways to join us as a patient, we can see you if you have an emergency and have not visited us before, you can come in for a cleaning or can schedule a longer appointment to comprehensively evaluate your needs.

If you're in pain, have a broken tooth, swelling, or any other urgent dental concern, don't wait — call us at 781-273-0225. We will see you as soon as possible, get you comfortable, and then plan any follow-up care you may need.

The Complete New Patient Experience

This is the best way to begin your care with us, and we set aside about 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes so nothing feels rushed. This visit includes:

  • A complete set of records. We'll take any necessary X-rays along with an iTero scan — a quick, comfortable digital scan that creates a detailed 3D picture of your teeth.

  • A comprehensive examination with Dr. Tang. Dr. Tang will carefully evaluate your teeth, gums, jaw joints, and bite to assess your complete oral health.

  • A guided "tour of the mouth." Often our patients' favorite part of the visit. Dr. Tang takes her time to walk you through everything she sees, using your own images and scans. You'll leave understanding your complete oral health picture — what's healthy, what to keep an eye on, and what your options are.

  • A professional cleaning. Your visit wraps up with a thorough, gentle cleaning from one of our hygienists. They'll also walk you through the oral hygiene routine that works best for you — believe it or not, many patients tell us no one ever taught them how to brush their teeth correctly!

This appointment is ideal if it's been a while since your last dental visit, if something has been bothering you, or if you simply want to truly understand your oral health from day one.

Cleaning-First Visit

Prefer to start with just a cleaning? We offer a 1-hour appointment — similar to what you'd experience at a traditional dental office — where your hygienist will take any necessary X-rays and complete your cleaning. Dr. Tang will still examine your teeth, though this shorter visit may not allow time for a complete examination if your needs are complex.

This option works well for patients with a generally healthy mouth and no active concerns. If we spot something that deserves a closer look — or if your needs turn out to be more involved — we may invite you back for a complete exam on another day.

After You Book: Your Welcome Email

Once your appointment is scheduled, you'll receive a welcome email from our office. This includes:

  • Your new patient forms. Please complete them as soon as possible, and no later than 3 business days before your appointment — this gives us time to verify your insurance benefits before you arrive, so there are no billing surprises.

  • A note about your old X-rays. If you've seen another dentist, please ask your previous office to send us your recent X-rays. It saves you time and may spare you from extra X-rays.

On the day of your appointment, please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early — that way, if there are any last-minute hiccups with paperwork or insurance, we can sort them out without cutting into your visit.

We're so glad you've chosen us for your dental care, and we can't wait to meet you. If you have any questions before your visit, just call or email — we're happy to help.
